Shira Goldetsky

Founder & CEO

Shira Goldetsky

As founder and CEO of Sapient Search, Shira has dedicated over a decade to the craft of facilitating the perfect match between company and candidate. Inspired by the determination of the entrepreneurs she partners with, Shira has a passion for guiding leaders through the dynamic journey of building and growing teams.

Shira's experience as the de facto head of talent for numerous startups during critical moments of their GTM journey has shaped Sapient Search’s unique recruitment model. This model transforms the Sapient Search team into close, trusted partners and advisors, supporting clients at every stage of their company's growth.

Having lived and worked abroad, Shira developed a specialization in U.S. market entry and has assisted many foreign startups with successfully entering and expanding in the United States.

Based in Brooklyn, NY, Shira is a volunteer career coach for NYC non-profit organizations. In addition to her work, Shira finds joy in international travel, dancing tango, hiking New York state parks and discovering hidden gems in the city with Bella, her feisty chihuahua. A film, podcast, and conversation enthusiast, Shira is always eager to view the world through a fresh lens and learn something new.

Amy Solomon

Amy Solomon is a Director at Sapient Search, where she excels in assisting innovative companies in filling critical operational, technical, and revenue-generating roles. Amy has made a substantial impact for our clients by successfully placing numerous hard-to-fill leadership and professional positions. Her expertise extends internationally, as she's played a pivotal role in helping overseas companies with U.S. GTM leadership hiring. With a particular knack for placing the "first of" employees in various departments, Amy has become a go-to consultant, especially for startups.

Amy’s prior experience in human resources and recruitment, where she played a key role during the COVID-19 outbreak by staffing healthcare facilities, adds depth to her recruitment acumen. Moreover, her firsthand experience working in Israel bolsters her profound understanding of Israeli technology startups, further enhancing her ability to meet her clients' needs.

Amy earned her bachelor's degree in political science and a Hebrew minor from Emory University. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband, Ethan, and her daughter, Bracha. In her free time, Amy remains involved in the Emory community, serving as a mentor to students. Additionally, she regularly attends educational and charity events for Atlanta Jewish organizations, and enjoys being an active and involved member of her community.

Craig DeBono

Craig DeBono

Craig DeBono is a Director at Sapient Search. Equipped with a bachelor's degree in management and a master's degree in business analytics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Craig's journey began in applying cutting edge analytics to software solutions. He managed various products and led teams specializing in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and software engineering. Craig not only gained valuable experience in the tech industry, but also learned how to recruit, hire and retain top talent for his organizations.

Recognizing his knack for identifying the perfect fit, Craig transitioned seamlessly into recruitment. His ability to comprehend complex technical needs and match them with exceptional candidates has resulted in numerous successful placements at both startups and larger companies. Clients have asked Craig what magic he used to find their ideal candidate - with firsthand experience in the industry, Craig can uniquely empathize with both clients and candidates and is able to foster a strong sense of trust and understanding which leads to success for all parties.

When he takes a break from connecting top talent with great opportunities, you can find Craig on the golf course, catching a baseball game, and spending time with his family. Based in Schenectady, New York, Craig brings a valuable blend of technical acumen and recruitment finesse to our team.

Greg White

Director, Executive & Technology Search

Greg White

Greg White is a Director at Sapient Search. With a master’s degree in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Greg brings 20+ years of IT knowledge, technical consulting and recruitment experience to Sapient. Formerly the Head of IT and Cybersecurity at a global aerospace company, Greg developed software for NASA and led cybersecurity operations on national defense programs.

Since 2018 Greg has been fully immersed in technical recruitment, focused on delivering the best technical talent in America. Greg prides himself on developing creative solutions to challenging recruitment problems and staying on the absolute cutting edge of technology. As part of this process, Greg performs deep, comprehensive technical screenings of candidates on behalf of engineering teams, using his experience to intensively screen candidates for technical fundamentals ensuring candidate fit and saving clients’ time.

He is client focused and loves the challenge of finding the exact cultural and technical fit for hard-to-fill roles while ensuring exceptional client and candidate experiences. Greg also brings personal enthusiasm with him on a daily basis to learn, attend events and share his knowledge with anyone in the tech sphere.

On a personal note, Greg recently received his SCCA Competition license for professional car racing and regularly plays both beach volleyball and baseball tournaments. Ask Greg about AI or advances in biogenetics to really get a conversation started!

David Wolf

David Wolf is a seasoned cyber researcher and security architect with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cybersecurity. He has developed a wide range of applications across various programming languages, leveraging tools like AWS, Docker, and Splunk.

David's expertise lies in the intersection of cyber and operational technology, especially within the IoT. He has safeguarded over a thousand applications as a product security engineer and has extensively researched the broader implications of technology in sectors like finance and healthcare.

Throughout his career, David has held key roles at Devo, Forescout, Splunk, and Cornerstone. He's a recognized speaker, having presented his research at global conferences, and has been featured in platforms like WIRED and Bloomberg. Holding certifications from CISSP to AWS Architect and PMP, David is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder and American Military University.

Outside of work, David enjoys sailing, painting, and cooking. Always eager to connect and collaborate, David is committed to driving innovation in the tech industry.

Carol Cohen

Carol Cohen

Carol Cohen is an accomplished global human resources executive with experience in strategizing and implementing global human capital initiatives that drive business results, HR transformation and improved employee performance. She's a trusted business partner to C- level and senior management teams, including the Board of Directors, with a track record of executing high impact HR solutions across international teams.

Over the course of her career, Carol has worked across a broad spectrum of industries and organizations including non-profits, small businesses, and Fortune 50 corporations. She’s held a number of senior leadership HR positions at American Express, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Thomson Reuters, and CVS Health. Before moving into Human Resources, Carol spent several years working as a management consultant leading organizational effectiveness, transformation, and business process improvement efforts across technologies, retail, energy, and financial services.

Carol earned her MBA from the University of Colorado and her undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology from Rutgers. Carol is also a frequent speaker and contributor on HR, Talent Management and Diversity at industry conferences and business schools including MIT, Harvard Business Review, London Business School, Forbes, and People Analytics World. Additionally, she co-authored with MIT Sloan The New Leadership Playbook for the Digital Age: Reimagining What it Takes to Lead released in 2020.

Carol lives in New Jersey with her husband and three kids. She’s an avid baker, practices yoga, enjoys global travel and is a go-getter when it comes to community volunteering and jumps in regularly to help in times of need.

Gidon Wise

Gidon Wise, lifelong entrepreneur and tech visionary, was a co-founder of Adbrite, one of the pioneers in the world of online ad exchange. Later, as a founding member of DistroKid, he helped guide the company's evolution and growth and served as its CTO until it was comfortably the largest company in its industry.

DistroKid became a leading platform, empowering musicians to seamlessly distribute and monetize their music. Currently Gidon supports the growth of various seed stage ventures and is always growing his knowledge within the tech industry.

Outside of the tech world, Gidon enjoys discovering new vegan restaurants, teaching and playing tennis, spending time with friends and family and projects in the kitchen.
